Glenan Wood boasts access to no less than three bays, with beautiful semi-natural woodland sometimes reaching all the way down to the shore.
The shoreline offers a place for reflection and exploration.
Whilst the sea itself does not form part of our community wood, we value it as our most active neighbour and take a keen interest in the services it provides and how we could help improve it.
To develop a clear understanding of what is in our seas, what has historically been there, and what our seascape should look like, we support any sightings to be recorded at the Kyles & Loch Riddon Marine Community Record.
As well as a home for marine life, the sea is also a place of work, enterprise and recreation for many, and aside from passing sea-kayakers touring Loch Fyne and the Kyles, Glenan has views to a Bakkafrost salmon farm, a Marina complex, as well as the Portavadie to Tarbert Ferry Terminal.
